About Us Cater Stables, located in Dunbarton, NH, is owned by David and Kristen Cater. The Caters dedicate themselves to training American Saddlebreds, Hackney Ponies and Morgans. Together, David and Kristen bring over 30 years of riding and showing experience to the operation. The formation of Cater Stables and the construction of the new barn, opened in February 2008, are truly the realization of a dream for both of them. Over the years, these accomplished horsemen have built their reputations on hard work, honesty and generosity of their time and abilities. They are actively involved in their local UPHA chapter and dedicate most of their time away from their own facility to the American Saddlebred, promoting the breed through fundraisers, community activities and assisting with local horse shows and tournaments. David and Kristen's work ethic extends beyond the public eye and into their own barn family. Each person who enters the doors of Cater Stables is treated as an individual, and the Caters strive to provide everyone a unique experience tailored to their own needs. Whether you are an experienced show rider or a beginning Academy rider hoping to improve your horsemanship, Cater Stables has a place for you. With more than 30 horses in training and its Academy program, Cater Stables is always a busy place. Kristen and David train horses in all divisions, from young prospects to Equitation stars and amateur mounts. Cater Stables offers summer and winter camps, as well as day camps throughout the year. The Cater team strives to maintain a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere with a focus on sportsmanship and dedication to the sport.
